Photopolymer resin, or Resin 3D, is a "liquid plastic" that hardens when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light. It is the primary consumable for SLA, LCD, and DLP printers.
How it works
The resin consists of special molecules (photoinitiators) that, when exposed to light of a specific wavelength (usually 405 nm), trigger a chemical reaction. The liquid instantly transforms into a solid polymer. The printer "exposes" the resin layer by layer, forming the part.
