FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) printer is the most popular and affordable 3D printing technology. Simply put, it's a "robotic glue gun."
How it works
The printer melts a plastic filament and extrudes it through a thin nozzle. The print head moves along a predetermined path, depositing the plastic layer by layer. Each new layer rests on the previous one, hardens, and bonds with it, gradually creating a three-dimensional object.
